I love all outdoor activities that involve sharing time with nature,
such as bushwalking, trekking, cross-country skiing, and backpacking.
I also enjoy classical music, movies, theatre, and concerts.
My passion for travel and photography has taken me to over fifty countries
in all continents. First, I travelled through many countries in Europe,
then Asia - Afghanistan, India, Sri Lanka and Thailand. In 1981 I made
my home in Australia. Since then, I have continued my travels in all
the states of Australia, and even went trekking in Papua New Guinea
and Nepal. In 1995-96 I made a solo year-long trip around the world
visiting 22 countries of Asia, Europe, North, Central and South America
and the Pacific region. In 1998 and 2000 my adventure journeys took
me to the Australian Outback - Red Centre, Northern Territory, South
and Western Australia, and Queensland with Cape York. I also visited
my homeland, Poland, several times, and always spent a lot of time walking
in my beloved Polish Mountains, the Tatras.
In 2001 I retired from over thirty years of office work. I am reinventing
and re-evaluating my life and realising many more dreams, experiencing
more travel adventure, and developing even further my passion for photography
and writing.
At the beginning of 2002 I plan to start my next solo almost year-long
African backpacking adventure. My intention is to visit as many countries
as possible all over the African continent. I am so looking forward
to re-awakening my sense of adventure, and the intensity and enrichment
that travel brings to my life. I love to go on learning, exploring my
curiosity about people of different cultural and social backgrounds,
and seeing everyday life from a new perspective.
